Report: Larry Coker steps down as UTSA HC

When the UTSA Roadrunners moved up to the FBS, they believed that they had a great chance to do something big. This was mostly because of head coach Larry Coker who came to the team in 2011.

In 2012, his second year with the team and the Roadrunners’ first in the FBS, they went 8-4 and then 7-5 in 2013. However, they went 7-17 the last two seasons and it looks like Coker is moving on from UTSA as it has been reported that he has stepped down as head coach.

Coker is one of the most successful coaches in college football history. From 2001-2006, he went 60-15 and won a national championship with the Miami Hurricanes.

If this is the end of his career as a coach, he will certainly be missed by college football fans everywhere.
