Lebron James’ marketing agency drops Johnny Manziel

LRMR, known to the everyman as NBA star LeBron James’ marketing company, has dropped Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel as an ambassador, according to a report from Cleveland.com.

Maverick Carter, James’ friend and business partner who runs the company, offered more on the decision.

“We’ve decided to end our formal business relationship with Johnny,” said Maverick Carter, James’ long-time friend and business partner who runs LRMR, the agency which until now had represented Manziel in endorsement deals.

“I will continue to support and advise him as a friend,” Carter said. “However, because Johnny needs to focus on personal growth, the next phase of his career and because LRMR continues to expand beyond marketing, we made the mutual decision that it was best to terminate our business relationship.”

LRMR’s decision comes just a few days after Manziel was in the news again for all the wrong reasons. He was in the league’s concussion protocol and ruled out for the Browns’ regular season finale, but was spotted partying in Las Vegas Saturday night and attempting to cover up his whereabouts on social media. On top of that, Manziel was allegedly wearing a blonde wig, fake mustache and glasses to conceal his identity. Manziel also missed a mandatory team meeting on Sunday and was not in attendance at the game.

Needless to say, it’s time for Manziel to grow up and probably end his hard partying ways in order to learn just what is expected of an NFL-caliber quarterback.
