Clemson lands Texas A&M transfer Elijah Thomas

Clemson men’s basketball landed a key transfer that could very well take the program over the top, as former Texas A&M freshman sensation Elijah Thomas has picked the Tigers as his next destination. Thomas’ decision was reported by the AP.

A former four-star recruit from the Dallas area, Thomas appeared in eight games for the Aggies this year and averaged just under 10 minutes per contest. He averaged 3.8 points and 2.5 points per game and shot 63 percent from the field.

Thomas now heads to a Clemson team that is currently 9-6 (2-1 ACC), but hasn’t made the NCAA Tournament since 2011. He won’t suit up until December, but has enough size at 6-foot-9, 251 pounds that he should be an immediate impact player.
