Johnny Manziel issued driving citation over weekend

The drama surrounding Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel is never-ending. Manziel has had his fair share of off-field distractions, with his latest issue coming this past weekend.

While we may not know whether an incognito Johnny Manziel was in Las Vegas this weekend, we do know his whereabouts on Saturday morning thanks to a run-in with police.

According to a report and evidence, Manziel was issued a citation for driving with expired plates on Saturday morning at 8:28 a.n. in Ohio.

Cleveland is going to be forced to make a decision in the near future about whether they view Manziel as their starting quarterback for next season. They have an opportunity to draft one of the top quarterbacks in the 2016 class and it wouldn’t be shocking to see them do so. Jared Goff or Paxton Lynch would look very good in a Browns’ uniform moving forward.

Manziel has to figure out his life off-the-field, which is exactly what New York Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall said in a recent interview about the signal-caller.

Hopefully he is able to get a grip on his life and turn things around. There is no denying that he has the talent and potential to become a very solid starting quarterback at the NFL level. It is just dependent on his ability to remain focused.
