Adam Jones on NSFW after loss to the Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals batteld in what may be one of the most memorable playoff games in NFL history. It wasn’t so memorable because of the amazing gameplay, but because of how it ended.

The Steelers, trailing by a point with under a minute left in the game, needed to get down to the 34 for a chance to win the game on a long field goal. The Steelers got a lot of help after Vontaze Burfict hit Antonio Brown with a helmet-to-helmet hit that cost them 15 yards.

While officials were checking on Brown, Bengals’ cornerback Adam Jones got into a confrontation with Steelers linebacker coach Joey Porter. The altercation drew a flag on Jones and set the Steelers up with essentially a chip-shot field goal to win the game.

After the game, Jones was obviously upset with the way things ended. He went on a rant about Brown filled with expletives.

“Man, that [expletive] was [expletive] acting. He flopped. He needs a [expletive] Academy Award for that performance,” Jones said.

He also talked about Porter, saying that he wasn’t supposed to be on the field at all.

“He ain’t supposed to be on the (expletive) field!” Jones said. “He was talking all kinds of (expletive), yelling at (Burfict), saying, ‘You a dirty son of a bitch … Take your bitch ass out of here …’ So I turned to him and said, ‘Why are you talking?’ I didn’t even touch him. And they threw a flag.

“How can they throw a flag on you for talking (expletive) to a coach? Especially to a (expletive) who ain’t supposed to be on the field? It’d be different if I was gonna approach a (expletive) player. There’s a big (expletive) difference. I mean, Mike Tomlin wasn’t even on the field. Why the (expletive) is Joey Porter on the field, period?”

Porter has since been fined for his actions during the end of the game, but it was a terrible look for the Bengals. From the players taking cheap shots to the fans cheering for Ben Roethlisberger’s injury and throwing trash at him, this almost seems like the worst type of karma.
