Seattle Seahawks advance on Blair Walsh’s shanked FG

In a game that can only be described as Ice Bowl Part 2, with the temperature reaching as low as -3 without windchill factored in, the Seattle Seahawks defeated the Minnesota Vikings 10-9 and advanced to the Divisional Round against the Carolina Panthers thanks to Vikings kicker Blair Walsh’s missed 27-yard-field goal late in the fourth quarter.

Check out the highlight below!

Neither team could get its offense rolling fully and it was a defensive chess match from start to finish. Minnesota led 9-0 entering the fourth quarter, but a miracle completion to Tyler Lockett and then a subsequent touchdown pass to Doug Baldwin made the score 9-7, and Seattle would ice the game on a long field goal by Steven Hauschka.

Oh, and a key fumble by Adrian Peterson in the fourth quarter didn’t help Minnesota either.
