The Clemson Tigers have had an unlikely hero step up early in the national championship game, as they pulled ahead of the Alabama Crimson Tide late in the first quarter.
Clemson star quarterback Deshaun Watson led the Tigers down the field on a seven-play, 73-yard drive that was capped off by his second touchdown pass to freshman wide receiver Hunter Renfrow.

Prior to the national championship, Renfrow was not an important part of the Tigers offensive attack.

It has been a great start for the Tigers. Clemson will hope to keep the momentum going as they look to close out the season with a perfect record.
