Nebraska junior defensive lineman Vincent Valentine has declared for the NFL Draft, according to a statement posted to his Twitter.

A former three-star recruit from the St. Louis area, Valentine fought an ankle injury in 2015 and only had 10 tackles and three sacks in seven games. In his college career, he has 76 tackles with seven sacks and a forced fumble.
Thus, it’s a bit interesting that Valentine would want to enter the draft after a lost season for both himself and Nebraska, who went 6-7 (3-5 Big 12) in coach Mike Riley’s first season, but perhaps he just wants to not risk re-injury and jump to the pros now.
Throw in his tremendous size at 6-foot-3, 320 pounds, and a strong performance at next month’s NFL Scouting Combine could turn a lot of heads and make Valentine an in-demand name on Draft Day in the spring.
