Super Bowl I to re-air in full for first time ever

Football fans and historians, it is time to get excited. After plenty of rumblings over the past few days, the NFL officially announced that Super Bowl I will re-air in full on the NFL Network.

The first Super Bowl — which has never been aired in full before — will be on television Friday night.

According to the press release, the original footage will be shown with the audio from the original NBC radio broadcast.

The game, between the Green Bay Packers and Kansas City Chiefs, originally took place on  January 15, 1967 in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Friday marks the 49th anniversary of the inaugural Super Bowl.
