Bizarre details surrounding Chandler Jones ‘medical emergency’ released

Audio recordings released Sunday from the Foxboro Police and Fire Dispatch refer to Patriots defensive end Chandler Jones as a “confused party,” before he was taken to the hospital. Heavy.com released the audio, and it seems that Jones walked to the police station, where officers noticed his altered state.

They then called the fire department to take Jones to the hospital.

Jones was treated and released from the hospital, after reportedly overdosing on pills, according to WEEI.

In the audio, an officer went to Jones’ home where the officer was able to get his keys and told dispatch, “he was definitely involved with Class D delta before this happened, just so they know.”

Class D likely refers to Class D narcotics which includes marijuana.

At first, Foxboro Police Chief Edward O’Leary denied any of his officers spoke or made contact with Jones, citing Jones’ right to medical privacy. If Jones is found to have ingested marijuana, he would be placed in the league’s substance abuse program.
