Clemson LB Ben Boulware praises teammates

Even though Clemson suffered a tough loss to Alabama in Monday night’s national championship game, linebacker Ben Boulware has proven to be the team leader and ongoing voice of positivity as the Tigers lick their wounds suffered in the loss.

Boulware took to Twitter to praise his teammates and rally the troops for next year and if you followed Clemson closely during the 2015 season, you’ll understand where he’s coming from 100 percent.

Boulware’s words may seem a bit odd, given how so many key members of the 2015 squad like defensive back Mackensie Alexander and defensive end Shaq Lawson have opted to declare for the upcoming NFL Draft, but his words still ring true. This year marked the best team that Clemson put out since Danny Ford led the team to its sole national title in 1981 and given how star quarterback Deshaun Watson, running back Wayne Gallman and other key offensive pieces are coming back next year, plus coach Dabo Swinney’s strong recruiting skills, the Tigers should easily be back in the national championship conversation in 2016.
