Former Florida State LB Telvin Smith still waiting for White House visit

Now that Alabama has won the National Championship yet again, they will likely be visiting the White House again. As is the custom for many professional and some college championship teams.

We say some college teams because the Florida State team that won in 2014, never made the trip to Washington, DC to meet with President Obama. And even as over half the players from that title team are no longer with the Seminoles, former FSU linebacker Telvin Smith is still waiting on that visit.

Now playing in the NFL for the Jacksonville Jaguars after being selected in the fifth-round of the 2014 draft, Telvin used Instagram to remind everyone that those ‘Noles are still expecting that call.

Since all this #nationalchampionship talk goin on!!

Officially, niether the White House nor Florida State could schedule a time that suited both parties. Although most believe that the White House did not want to be affliated with Jameis Winston’s sexualt assault allegations and other issues surrounding the team at that time.
