Devon Gales feels knee, feet for first time since collision

Former Southern wide receiver Devon Gales continues to make excellent progress since being paralyzed following a hard hit in the Jaguars’ game against Georgia back in September.

According to a report from WSB-TV, Atlanta’s local ABC affiliate, Gales felt his knee and the bottoms of his feet for the first time since suffering his injury.

“It’s just amazing to know the feeling is coming back and I have a chance to walk again,” Gales said in an exclusive interview, which may be seen below.

Gales is also able to use his cell phone without assistance. Needless to say, in making this type of progress, here’s hoping that he can continue taking steps forward and someday walk again.

Be sure to stay tuned to Campus Sports for further updates on Gales’ continuing recovery.
