Jordan Spieth took the golf world by storm in 2015 when he took home his first Green Jacket at the Master’s as well as the U.S. Open.
That success ultimately led him to becoming the highest-earning golfer in the World last year. According to a recently published issue of Golf Digest, Spieth made $53 million in 2015.
His total was more than that of legends Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods, who finished second and third, respectively. Rory McIlroy finished fourth in earnings.
The top five was rounded out by retired golfer Arnold Palmer. He, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player and Greg Norman still sit in the top 25 earners despite all being retired from play. Of course, all of their earnings come from golf-related endorsement deals.
Does Spieth leading the way in earnings surprise you? Let’s talk about it in the comment section below.
