Video: Rams DE Chris Long plays Powerball lottery, unrecognized by local media

There have been three winners drawn in Wednesday’s $1.5 billion Powerball lottery and there were a lot of people who actually played for their shot at the money. When I say a lot of people played, I even mean a former top-five pick in the NFL Draft.

Los Angeles Rams defensive end Chris Long was back home in Charlottesville, Virginia visiting family when he decided to go pick up a few tickets at the local convenient store. To keep from being identified by the people in town, he donned a cap, glasses, and camouflage jacket when he headed up town.

He was stopped by one of the local news stations and asked what he would do with the money. Long, acting under the alias Rod Carriker, probably a reference to former teammate Adam Carriker, gave a pretty epic response.

It seems like someone at the news station picked up on Long’s disguise as they fixed his name on the broadcast later that night. It seems to me that we know what Long would love to be doing after his NFL career ends.
