Just because two quarterbacks play on rival teams doesn’t mean they can enjoy a good workout together. Just ask former Ohio State Buckeye Cardale Jones and former Michigan State Spartan Connor Cook, as the two quarterbacks did a workout together with renowned quarterbacks coach George Whitfield.
Whitfield posted a picture of Jones and Cook working out together on his Instagram.
These two may have never faced off in an actual game on the collegiate level, as Jones had already lost his starting job to J.T. Barrett by the time Ohio State and Michigan State faced off in 2015, but it’s certainly going to be interesting how each prospect’s path to the 2016 NFL Draft pans out since both are working with Whitfield, the man who helped Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton ahead of the 2011 Draft. Newton was picked first overall, so Whitfield’s skills arguably speak for themselves.
Stay tuned to Campus Sports for further updates on Cook and Jones’ respective paths to the draft!
