Class of 2017 four-star talent Zach Brown, currently a star at Miami Beach Senior High School, has committed to Connecticut, according to NBC Sports.
He won’t suit up for two more seasons, but this is a huge get for the Huskies. Brown is blessed with fantastic size at 7-foot-1, 260 pounds and is a strong and physical post presence whose style is perfect for coach Kevin Ollie’s system.
On top of that, once current big man Amidah Brimah leaves campus in the next year and a half, Brown could form a fine 1-2 punch with Class of 2016 Juwan Durham and keep the Huskies in contention in the AAC next season.
