Bryce English transfers to North Texas to be closer to father

Former Kansas State defensive lineman Bryce English knew he wanted to transfer to be closer to his father, who is dealing with bone marrow cancer. He was given a release from his scholarship in December and he has now found his new home for the future.

English, a former three-star member of the Wildcats’ 2015 recruiting class, will transfer to North Texas for the 2016 season. The Mean Green made the announcement in the same press release that said Alec Morris had transferred in on Tuesday.

English took a redshirt in 2015, so this could mean that he should be able to suit up for the Mean Green in 2016. Even if he isn’t eligible to play, that may be the best as he spends time taking care of his father.
