Miami lands commitment from Australian guard Dejan Vasiljevic

The Miami Hurricanes just landed a big time commitment from an incredibly talented Class of 2016 guard. That player, Dejan Vasiljevic of Australia, may not be a household name, but he certainly has the talent to become a star at the collegiate level.

Would like to announce that I have verbally committed to the University of Miami! Thanks to everyone, especially my family. #canes 🏀

Vasiljevic also had offers from California, LSU and Louisville.

Sports Illustrated’s Campus Rush shared a highlight video of the 6-foot-2 guard from last summer’s  2015 FIBA Under-19 World Championships and the 2017 Under-17s. During those tournaments, Vasiljevic averaged 13.3 points and 3.1 rebounds and 17.4 points and 6.6 rebounds per game, respectively.

Check out the highlights below and it won’t be long before you see how great of a piece for the future the Hurricanes received.
