Flint, Michigan is in a state of emergency, going without clean drinking water since April 2014. President Obama recently declared it officially in a state of emergency, pushing FEMA to pledge $80 million towards solving the crisis.
Lions defensive end Ziggy Ansah is following the president’s lead, recently donating 94,000 bottles of water around Flint. Being a native of Ghana, Ansah said he can relate to the situation, as he grew up without clean tap water for much of his life.
Why 94,000 bottles you ask? Well, because Ansah’s number is 94.
