Winter storm Jonas is tearing through the East Coast like the Jonas Brothers through a wake of tween fans, and no one can attest to that better than the Duquesne basketball team.
After playing George Mason in an Atlantic 10 matchup Friday afternoon, the Dukes got trapped on the Pennsylvania Turnpike on their way back home. Ironically, the game was moved up a day from Saturday in order to avoid the storm.
Stuck on the highway with other cars at 9:15 pm EST, the Dukes’ bus luckily was stocked with water and leftover pizza according to what coach Jim Ferry told ESPN.com’s Andy Katz.
Nonetheless, players still turned up like any college kid on a Friday night.
