Former Eastern Michigan head coach Ron English will be heading to the Bay Area to take on the defensive coordinator role at San Jose State.
English, who held the same role at Michigan, replaces another former Michigan defensive coordinator, Greg Robinson. Robinson retired after this past season.
SJSU head coach Ron Caragher also has another former Michigan coordinator for the other side of the ball. Al Borges, now offensive coordinator for the Spartans, held the same position in Ann Arbor from 2011-2013.
EMU fired English in Nov. 2013 after a recording of his 90-second profanity-laced tirade became public. He was 11-46 in four-plus seasons at EMU.
