Georgia Southern received a key commitment from an in-state recruit Sunday, and just as importantly beat out Georgia for his signature.
Darion Anderson, a 6-foot-1 170-pound wide receiver from Houston County High School in Warner Robins, Georgia chose the Eagles over Georgia, Boston College and Cincinnati among others.
Anderson played in the Semper Fi All-American Bowl earlier this month. Georgia Southern went 9-4 last year.
