Tee Shepard has certainly had a long and confusing career, which began with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He came out of high school as a four-star recruit and the number three-ranked cornerback in the country.
After just one year with the Fighting Irish, Shepard transferred out to a community college before landing at Ole Miss in 2014, where he didn’t play during his junior season due to a torn tendon in his toe. He played in only five games in 2015 before the team announced he would be leaving the program.
On Monday, he announced that he would be taking his talents back up north for his final year of eligibility. He spoke with Lars Hanson of 247Sports and said that he would be transferring to Miami of Ohio for the 2016 season.
The biggest reason the RedHawks landed this talented cornerback is because of head coach Chuck Martin, who was a big part of his recruiting process at Notre Dame.

“Chuck Martin is the only coach in the country I can try to play my last year with,” Shepard said. “He recruited me out of high school when he was at Notre Dame at the time. It’s been over four years coming.
Because Shepard will graduate from Ole Miss this spring, he will be eligible to play for the RedHawks in 2016. Let’s hope that Shepard is able to get playing time during his last season in college football.
