The Carolina Panthers advanced to their first Super Bowl since 2003 when they defeated the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. It certainly looks like one former Panther legend is pretty excited for the team getting back to the big game.
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith Sr. was a legend when he played for the Panthers and some would say that he is one of the building blocks for the team’s success today. However, when the team released him after the 2013 season, he was not happy at all stating that there would be “blood and guts everywhere” if he were to play his former team again.
It looks like he is trying to tie up some old loose ends with some of his former teammates as he wished the Panthers luck in the Super Bowl.

Smith will always be loved by the Panther fan base, which is evidenced by the reaction he drew from them on Twitter.

Smith may never don a Panthers jersey ever again, but he will certainly always be remembered for the way he helped build a winning tradition with the team.
