UFC 2 Beta Impressions

EA Sports released the closed beta for UFC 2 on Thursday in order to introduce fans to some new gameplay mechanics as well as the new Ultimate Team mode coming to the game this year.

The first thing you notice when loading the beta is that the menu system is the same exact one that you see in EA Sports NHL 16. With both games being developed at EA Vancouver, it really isn’t much of a surprise at all.

The beta offers a few modes to help fans get accustomed to the game. There’s Practice Mode, which allows fighting against the CPU; Skills Challenge, which teaches you how to play the game; Quick Fight, which has you go one-on-one with someone online; and Ultimate Team, which allows you to create a team of five fighters, and become the best UFC team on the planet.

Now that you know what’s in the beta, let’s get into the action with our first impressions.
