The West Virginia Mountaineers have been one of the best teams in the Big 12 this season and they look keep their momentum going on Saturday. They travel down south to face off with the Florida Gators, but they will do so with out a big part of their team.
According to College Basketball Talk, forward Jonathan Holton has been suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules. The rules that he broke have not been disclosed, but it’s a big blow for this team to take.
Holton has averaged 9.7 points and 7.5 rebounds per game this year and he has been one of the team’s biggest leaders in the front court. Depending on how long he will be suspended, this could really hurt the Mountaineers.
Following Saturday’s game with the Gators, West Virginia has tough match-ups with Iowa State, Baylor, and Kansas.
