Rumor: New Ghostbusters game being developed

In order to fully celebrate the launch of the rebooted film franchise, a new Ghostbusters video game is rumored to be in development at Activision.

According to IGN, a new game is being developed for release on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. There was no confirmation from Activision regarding the development of the game, but based on the company’s history, it’s only a matter of time before more details come out.

Also not known is whether the new cast will offer their voices to the game. The last Ghostbusters release — Ghostbusters: The Video Game — featured voiceover work by the original cast of the popular franchise.

The rebooted film hits theaters on July 15, so one should expect the game to be released around the same time. It can also be assumed that fans will get more of a look at the unannounced title at E3 2016 in June.
