4-star WR’s father is glad his son didn’t pick Nebraska

There’s no doubt that when National Signing Day comes around, fans get rabid. As a result, the father of 4-star wide receiver Dez Fitzpatrick is happy that his son committed to Louisville over Nebraska.

Fitzpatrick, who currently attends Farmington High School in the Detroit area, announced yesterday via Bleacher Report that he would play for the Cardinals in 2016 and his father posted on Facebook how happy he was that his son didn’t pick Nebraska, and why.

Clearly, Mr. Fitzpatrick doesn’t realize that Louisville fans probably would have responded the exact same way had his son picked Nebraska or any other program. Recruiting is no joke and fans are merciless, so it will be interesting to see what Mr. Fitzpatrick thinks of Cardinal fans if, for some reason or another, his son doesn’t play well.
