On Thursday, it was reported that Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel was involved in an incident where he hit his girlfriend, Colleen Crowley, and threatened to kill her and himself.
It comes as no surprise that Manziel is coming out against the reports. He spoke with TMZ Sports and vehemently refuted the reports.
“It didn’t happen,” he told the site. “I’m completely stable. I’m safe and secure.”
Manziel is expected to be released from the Browns on March 9, the first day of the new NFL season. He is hoping to move on from Cleveland and begin his career anew.
“I have great things coming ahead,” Manziel added. “I know I’ve been having fun but I just need to get my body right. I’m 100% committed to playing football.”
Campus Sports will update this situation with more information as it becomes available.
