Ever since Louisville made the move from the AAC into the ACC in 2014, they have known that they would likely see an increase in both school population and attendance at sporting events. That is certainly the case at football games at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.
The increase in attendance at the games has forced the Cardinals to expand their stadium. They announced on Thursday that they will begin fundraising for the construction, which will cost $55 million and will add 10,000 seats.
