Former Michigan wide receiver Brian Cole is moving on from Ann Arbor in spite of the program’s strong National Signing Day and will transfer to Kentucky, according to a report from NBC Sports.
A former four-star talent from Saginaw, Cole was injured for most of 2015 and only appeared in two games. He had one catch for -1 yards.
Cole will now head to the ultra-competitive SEC to play for Kentucky and coach Mark Stoops, who has developed a knack for adding key transfers to his program. Cole is just that and though NCAA transfer rules mean he must sit out the 2016 season, he should provide an impact in 2017 considering how the Wildcats only had 10 touchdown catches as a unit last season.
So long as Kentucky figures out the quarterback situation, the Wildcats should be a team to watch in the future!
