Steve Mariucci: ‘70,000 will be dabbing at Super Bowl 50’

The NFL world has its collective eyes on the San Francisco Bay Area, site of Super Bowl 50 tonight, and the experts are doing everything from making their picks to discussing Cam Newton, the polarizing quarterback of the Carolina Panthers. One of those experts was former San Francisco 49ers and Detroit Lions coach Steve Mariucci, now an analyst for NFL Network, and he offered his own take on Newton’s polarizing nature.

"You're going to see that entire stadium, 70,000 people dabbing!" #SB50 #KeepPounding https://t.co/gDzkIbeZ2Z

It’s certainly hard to argue with Mariucci. Newton hitting the Dab after a touchdown isn’t meant to be bad sportsmanship, nor is their any ill will behind it. When push comes to shove, he’s just a 26-year-old having some fun on the field.

That said, be sure to tune to CBS at 6:30 p.m. ET for what should be a complete dab-fest on top of a great Super Bowl!
