Halftime show generates most tweets for the Super Bowl

According to the data gathered by Twitter, The Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show generated the most tweets of all of Sunday’s broadcast.

Despite that, there was considerable discussion on Twitter on several keys plays, including Von Miller’s two sacks. Miller’s sack of Cam Newton were the second and fourth most tweeted about events Sunday. Third was the end of the game.

Newton, Kony Ealy and Tedd Ginn Jr. were the most–mentioned Panthers players, while Peyton Manning, Miller and Aqib Talib were the Broncos who generated the most tweets.

No Super Bowl is complete without the commercials of course, which generated plenty of discussion on their own, as did Marshawn Lynch’s retirement announcement.
