Investigators recommend charges for LeSean McCoy

Investigators have recommended that the District Attorney’s Office issue an arrest warrant for former Philadelphia Eagles and current Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy for his role in an assault on off-duty police officers in the City of Brotherly Love last weekend, according to a report from ABC 6 Philadelphia.

McCoy and three friends got into an altercation with the off-duty officers at the Recess Lounge, located in the Old City part of town. The fight was over bottles of champagne, which the officers had ordered and one of McCoy’s friends allegedly took a bottle out of the officers hand. The fight escalated from there and was caught on video.

Even worse is that McCoy’s friend knocked one of the officers to the ground and all four suspects then joined in punching, kicking and stomping the poor man. The victim drove himself to the hospital after the fight was broken up and all involved were ejected from the nightclub, and he received treatment for broken ribs and a broken nose, among other injuries.

Simply put, with an arrest warrant looming, the situation is not looking good for McCoy. The NFL has a strict personal conduct policy and depending on how the situation pans out, McCoy could be looking at a lengthy suspension.
