According to TMZ Sports, Jerry Jones is in the running to host a potential boxing superfight between top stars Gennady Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez. Of course, if Jerry gets the rights, it will be hosted at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Plans are tentative for the two fighters to box in September, and Golovkin’s promoter Tom Loeffler says that one of the possible venue is Jerry’s World.
“Jerry Jones has watched GGG’s last few fights and he expressed a big interest in having the fight in Dallas at his stadium,” Loeffler told TMZ.
Loeffler says there are two other venues in the running — the MGM Grand in Vegas and Madison Square Garden in NYC.
According to TMZ, if the two sides can reach an agreement on a contract, the fight will happen Sept. 17. Altough a fight with Alvarez hinges on GGG defeating Dominic Wade on April 23rd at the Forum in Los Angeles.
