Ubisoft announces releases of Watch Dogs, South Park

During a conference call with investors, Ubisoft revealed that both the sequel to 2014’s Watch Dogs and South Park: The Stick of Truth will both be coming before April 2017.

Watch Dogs released to negative reviews in the spring of 2014 after the game looked nothing like the teasers from the company, and had a pretty boring storyline and gameplay mechanics.

South Park, on the other hand, released to positive reviews because the game felt like an extended episode of the popular adult TV show. There were issues with the combat system, but it was nothing that took away from the overall experience.

In the past, Ubisoft claims that they learned a lot of lessons based on the feedback from fans over Watch Dogs. With Assassin’s Creed taking a year off, it may be just want the company needs to put full focus into making the sequel as successful as possible
