Denver Broncos linebacker and reigning Super Bowl MVP Von Miller has plenty of reasons to be happy and celebratory, but has also turned into a troll extraordinaire since the big game and has made Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton his top target.
After trolling Newton on Instagram after the game, Miller took to Twitter today and posted a picture of a pair of cleats that were a certain color.
Clearly, this is a shot at Newton being a Superman fan and Miller implying that these green-striped cleats are Kryptonite, Superman’s one weakness.
But Miller, who was drafted No. 2 out of Texas A&M behind Newton in the 2011 NFL Draft, must have forgotten how he doesn’t even need these ironically-colored cleats to give the Panthers’ quarterback and reigning MVP trouble. Keep in mind that Miller finished Super Bowl 50 with six tackles, 2.5 sacks and two forced fumbles, so the last thing he needs the next time he and Newton face off is any “advantage.”
Simply put, all Miller needs to do is keep being the elite pass-rusher he was to begin with, and the rest will be gravy.
