Josh Gordon still not reinstated

Troubled Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon has still not been reinstated from his one-year suspension following a violation of the league substance-abuse policy a year ago, according to what a source told NBC Sports.

There was speculation that Gordon had indeed been let back in the league after he posted the following tweet yesterday afternoon.

Ever since being taken out of Baylor in the 2012 supplemental draft, Gordon has shown incredible talent on the field while being seemingly unable to stay out of trouble off of it. He led the NFL with 1,646 yards in 2014, but also missed two games due to a suspension. His latest suspension came not from testing positive for marijuana but for drinking alcohol, which is not allowed when one is in Stage 3 of the NFL’s substance abuse program.

But Gordon has allegedly been clean for the past year and that is why he has applied for reinstatement. It’s certainly going to be interesting to see how his case plays out because though talented, his off-field issues speak for themselves.
