Ed McCaffrey had awesome tweet after son committed to Michigan

Former Denver Broncos receiver Ed McCaffrey’s younger son Dylan committed to Michigan last night, and the proud papa took to Twitter to express his excitement at the prospect of his son being a Wolverine.

However, McCaffrey’s excitement at his son playing for Jim Harbaugh was not about the prestige it would bring the four-star quarterback alone.

Few years back @LisaMcCaffrey6 & I went to the Final Four & chose to cheer for Michigan. Hope we kept those shirts! pic.twitter.com/9hfKmqsWlu

It just goes to show, folks. Keep your souvenir t-shirts because you never know when they’ll be more than just a happy memory!

Dylan McCaffrey is a pocket passer who currently attends Valor Christian High School in the Denver area and also was weighing offers from Colorado, Colorado State, Missouri, LSU, UCLA and others. His older brother, Christian, plays running back for Stanford and was a Heisman Trophy finalist in 2015.

Needless to say, great football genes run in the McCaffrey family, so papa Ed has plenty to be excited about!
