Carl Weathers wants to be in a possible ‘Creed’ sequel

The success of the newest installation into the “Rocky” franchise has brought upon speculation that there will be a sequel to the 2015 film, “Creed.” It looks like Carl Weathers wants to be involved with the possible sequel and he wants to reprise his Apollo Creed role in the movie.

According to People Magazine, Weathers wants to play his character in a possible sequel to the film. Michael B. Jordan plays the son of Apollo Creed in the movie, so it wouldn’t be too hard to see Weathers make an appearance.

“If I could get a role as cool at this point as Rocky’s was then yeah, in a heartbeat I’d be back in,” Weathers told reporters Wednesday, according to People.

“It’s always is about the role. Just to say to be Apollo Creed again, I don’t think that’s enough for any actor,” Weathers added. “You want to see what the character’s about at this particular point.”

Now, if you know the “Rocky” franchise, you’d know that Weathers’s character was killed off in the fourth movie. However, that doesn’t mean he couldn’t make an appearance in a flashback.

What do you think, fans? Would you like to see Apollo Creed make an appearance in a new “Rocky” movie?
