Looks like the SEC isn’t the only ones out for Jim Harbaugh. ACC Commissioner John Swofford joined his SEC counterpart in calling for the NCAA to look into Harbaugh taking his Wolverines football team down to the IMG Academy in Florida over Michigan’s spring break.
“I think the NCAA needs to look at that, yes,” Swofford said in a story posted on ESPN.com by Andrea Adelson. “I’m not sure I’ve ever even heard that brought up before. So that’s a new twist.”
Last week, the SEC requested that the NCAA amend the current rules so spring football practices could not be held over a school’s spring break which started a little Twitter beef between the SEC and the Michigan coach.
However ,Harbaugh is a creative guy, so don’t think that even if the SEC and ACC get their way that Harbaugh will be stymied. Instead, he’ll just find another way to position his program as superior to what else is offered around the country.
Or at the very least, he’ll ruffle some feathers. He’s been very good at that throughout his career.
