NHL linesman still has concussion symptoms after Dennis Wideman hit

Last month, Calgary Flames defenseman Dennis Wideman delivered a hit to linesman Don Henderson which landed Wideman a 20-game suspension from the league.

Unfortunately for Henderson, the hit from the Flames defenseman has had lasting implications.

According to reports, Henderson is still dealing with concussion symptoms that stemmed from the hit. Because of that, there is some concern regarding his ability to return this season.

“He still can’t do anything because he hasn’t gone two days symptom-free,” a source told the Calgary Sun regarding the linesman. “I don’t think he’s coming back anytime soon, if at all.”

Henderson is still awaiting results of his latest MRI which will determine the status of his concussion. Hopefully, he will be able to return to the ice and do the job he loves sooner rather than later.
