One NFC exec wouldn’t draft WR Duke Williams

It has been a wild ride for wide receiver D’haquille Williams, who was kicked off of the Auburn Tigers football team back in October following allegations of a bar fight. Now, the 6-foot-2, 224-pounder is looking to prove his off-field issues were just minor slip-ups and that he will be a worthy contributor to a team at the next level as the NFL Scouting Combine approaches.

Unfortunately, if the remarks from one NFC executive are any indication, Williams has a lot of work to do to get back in the good graces of NFL teams.

In a recent interview, an NFC director of personnel told NFL Media’s Lance Zierlein, “I wouldn’t draft [Auburn WR D’haquille Williams] in any round.

Williams will have the opportunity to impress teams with his workouts as draft season goes on, but right now he is slated as a Day 3 pick. It’s an obvious fall for Williams, but one that was expected with teams around the league focusing on adding “high character guys.”

Where do you believe Williams will be selected? Sound off in the comments section below.
