Other than Denny Hamlin winning the Daytona 500 and NASCAR being back, it was a pretty slow sports day. While neither the New Orleans Pelicans nor the Detroit Pistons will likely make the playoffs this year, Anthony Davis did something to make up for the rather drab Sunday.
The Pelicans pulled out the 111-106 victory over the Pistons and it was pretty much thanks to Davis. He scored a 2015-16 league-high 59 points and added on 20 rebounds in the big win for the team.

The win drops the Pistons two games out of the 8 spot in the Eastern Conference, while the Pelicans inch closer to the same spot in the Western Conference. This also ended up being a career-high in points for Davis and a Pelicans franchise-record as well.
Davis has certainly proven his worth as the number one draft pick in the 2012 NBA Draft. He is one of the best young forwards in the league today and I think he just proved why everyone should #FearTheBrow.
