Laquon Treadwell ‘an obvious candidate’ for 49ers?

There is no question that the San Francisco 49ers need a good quarterback for the future, but you can never tell what Chip Kelly, who was just hired as the new head coach, will do. There are a few positions the team needs to fill and wide receiver is also one of them.

With a top ten pick and a terrific wide receiver in Laquon Treadwell sitting as the top guy in the Draft, it would be tough for them to pass on him. According to Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle, Treadwell would certainly be a guy the 49ers are looking towards drafting.

“Kelly prefers wide receivers with the size and strength to fend off man-to-man coverage, and Mississippi’s Laquon Treadwell (6-3, 220) is an obvious candidate at No. 7. Treadwell, who had 82 catches for 1,153 yards last year, is the consensus top wideout in the draft and a likely top-10 pick.”

Many believe the 49ers would take a quarterback, whether it’s Jared Goff or Carson Wentz, with their seventh pick in the first round. However, Kelly has done some strange things in the past, so we will just have to wait and see what they will do.
