Report: LSU G Keith Hornsby could miss the rest of the season

The LSU Tigers aren’t playing so hot as of late and it looks like their chances of making the NCAA Tournament are slipping further and further away. On Saturday, the team suffered an embarrassing 81-65 loss to Tennessee, in which Ben Simmons did not start due to academic issues.

It now seems as though the Tigers could have lost something even more in that game. According to College Basketball Talk via ESPN, LSU guard Keith Hornsby could miss the rest of the season after going down with an unspecified injury in the first half of the game.

The UNC Asheville transfer has done a good job for the Tigers this year, averaging 13.1 points per game and shooting 41.5 percent from beyond the three point line. If he is to miss the rest of the season, Johnny Jones’s club can all but kiss their NCAA Tournament chances goodbye.
