Date set for Charlie Strong to testify in divorce case

The Louisville Courier-Journal reported Monday that “[a]n Oldham District Court judge will hear arguments Friday on Jonathan Blue‘s motion to compel former University of Louisville football coach Charlie Strong to testify in Blue’s divorce suit against his wife.”

Blue is a University of Louisville booster and trustee, and the motion put forth by Blue’s attorney seeks Strong’s testimony, as well as compelling him to turn over cell phones and cell phone bills’ correspondence between Strong and the trustee’s wife; gifts from the wife to Strong; and travel calendars.

Some of the items requested date as far back as 2012.

Strong was UofL head coach from 2010-13, and it has been rumored that he and Blue’s wife had some sort of relationship. Saturday Strong released a statement saying, “I’m not party to their divorce and have received no court order in this case. I do want Longhorn fans and supporters to know that this will not affect my focus in any way.”
