As an ex-baseball player, I’m proud to say that my teammates and I came up with a number of ways to keep ourselves occupied during rain delays. We played Mudball, rigged the helmets to see how much water they could hold, the list goes on.
However, George Washington University’s baseball team has raised the bar with the ultimate activity: rain delay jousting. Of course, a video of the Colonials engaging in it was posted to Twitter.
What do you do in a rain delay?
Joust, of course. #RaiseHigh pic.twitter.com/xdfUEivXz9

Ever wonder what chicken-fighting would look like out of the swimming pool? Well, now we know. Sure, the face-mask grabbing is a bit bush league but during the Rain Delay Olympics, all bets are off. It’s just a rule of the diamond.
Of course, George Washington isn’t the only school that participates in rain delay jousting.

Is there a high injury risk in doing something like this on wet ground? Sure, but look how fun it is!
That said, keep it up, fellas!
