Brandon Allen used massage therapy to increase hand size

You know it is NFL Scouting Combine week when the talk of football Twitter is quarterback hand size. Well, we are here, and a very interesting story has made its way to the hand size discussion.

Apparently, Arkansas Razorbacks quarterback Brandon Allen was able to get his hand size to increase with some simple massage therapy.

At the Reese’s Senior Bowl last month, Allen’s hands measured 8 1/2 inches.

When Allen had his measurements recorded today in Indianapolis, the quarterback came away with an 8 7/8 inches mark. Apparently, the massage therapy worked.

“I think I had five sessions between the Senior Bowl and (the combine), and I’ve done a lot of stretching on my own, too,” Allen said, via NFL.com. “The therapist thinks we can get it to nine-plus. That’s what I’m shooting for by pro day. I’m going to keep doing it.”

Well, you have to appreciate his dedication.

It also goes to show that if you work enough at something, you can always improve. You can now expect quarterbacks everywhere to start getting frequent massages and stretching done to their hands.
